Okay… stay with me now.

Walmart is offering Ocean’s Eleven and Ocean’s Twelve in a two pack for $12.87.

Included with this bundle is a ticket for Ocean’s Thirteen that comes out on June 8th, 2007. The ticket is worth up to $10.50.

So, if you consider the price plus shipping for $.99, you get both films for $13.86 delivered (tax not calculated), then subtract the full price of the ticket (at least in California and New York) you get both movies for $3.36 delivered, and already have your ticket for Ocean’s Thirteen. (If you split $3.36 in half, you arrive at $1.68 each).

Arguably these films represent some of the best work of Steven Soderbergh. If you haven’t seen the first two films, you should take our advice and see them.

Now at this price, there really isn’t much of a reason to not buy them now, plus you’ll already have your ticket to see the third film in the series.

P.S. I always felt offended by Warner Bros. advertising campaign for Ocean’s Eleven. Look at the poster below:

The film was to be released December 4th, 2001. This image was posted at the Warner Bros. Lot for roughly five months before the film was released. On September 11th, I passed the image, and felt very sick to my stomach. Here was a blood red ‘Eleven,’ with dark, almost ‘dead’ silhouettes standing over the numbers. To me, this image will always haunt me as the advertising equivalent of 9/11. Perhaps this was a personal issue for me alone; growing up in Staten Island, New York, I would often watch channel 11 which was broadcast from the Twin Towers, and they would have a station identification graphic that dissolved from the towers into their ’11 Alive!’ logo. It surprised me that Warner was not more sensitive to their marketing and replace the image with something less disturbing. Obviously they have for the video release.
