Buy One of the Real Transformers!

Posted by David C. Fein
July 9th, 2007

Sometimes I see studios offering props from films on ebay. Usually they are small pieces that don’t mean much, but are nice to have. The point of the sale is another form of marketing, and rarely are they selling the item for the money.

You also have to appreciate that just about every prop, especially if it’s a key item, has anywhere from 3 to 10 identical copies, so you never truly know if it’s real, or actually used. Worth it? Usually not.

This week, there’s something different on ebay:

Yes, for a mere $24,000 (the current bid), this Transformer… err… car… can be yours!

Buy this 1977 Yellow Chevy Camaro who goes by the name ‘Bumblebee’ Now!

To me, ‘Bumblebee’ was my favorite Transformer in the movie. While I wouldn’t mind owning the updated Camero in the film, there is no denying that this is a very cool car to own.

Let the bidding war begin!

While “The Animatrix” is in standard definition in the Ultimate box, it is still unknown as to its hidef status from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

From the xbox.com website:

Xbox LIVE Brings You Even More Matrix Content

When you purchase The Complete Matrix Trilogy, you will also receive a token in the box to download the entire Animatrix series from Xbox LIVE® Marketplace.

There will also be great content available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace from The Complete Matrix Trilogy and Animatrix.

From May 15 through May 25, download free content like HD trailers from all three Matrix movies and some of your favorite scenes in HD like “Bullet Time in the Subway” and “Morpheus fighting Agent Smith.” You can also purchase and download themes for all three films plus Animatrix.
